Research with neutrons

The German Conference on Neutron Scattering 2016 - Deutsche Neutronenstreutagung DN2016 - was a successful and inspiring meeting of over 200 neutron researchers in Kiel, held from 20th to 22nd September 2016. It was organized on behalf of the German Committee for Research with Neutrons - Komitee Forschung mit Neutronen KFN - by the HZG and University of Kiel.

In 2018, it wil be the turn for a SNI-conference , before the next German Conference on Neutron Scattering will follow in 2020.

The conference language was English.

Four minisymposia with invited speakers focused on the topics:
  • Proteins: Dynamics and interactions
  • High brilliance compact neutron sources - status and perspectives
  • Neutron spectroscopy for dynamics in confinement
  • Materials characterisation
After the conference, a CREMLIN workshopon German-Russian cooperation took place from Sept. 22 (afternoon) to Sept. 23, 2016.
