Current research focus

  • Colloid chemistry with focus on self-aggregating systems (surfactants and amphiphilic copolymers)
  • Correlation between mesoscopic structure and macroscopic properties of colloidal systems
  • SANS and NSE for characterization of soft matter systems
  • Kinetic investigation of morphological transformations in mesoscopically structured systems
  • Non-equilibrium systems

 

In the KFN, I would stand up for:

  • Ensuring high-quality facilities for carrying out neutron scattering experiments for researchers of German research institutions.
  • Intensification of international cooperation in the field of neutron scattering.
  • Close contact between modern scientific developments and neutron research facilities to intensify cooperation.
  • To introduce students and PhD students to the possibilities of neutron scattering.
