[kfn-info] The German Research Foundation (DFG) calls for proposals on quality management of research software by sustainable usability

E-Mail newsletter from KFN on June 26, 2019

Dear neutron users,

the funding of BMBF and DFG concerning data and digital transformation become increasingly tangible. The NFDI call has been published, and a joint project "DAPHNE - DAta for PHoton and Neutron Experiments" will be submitted by the neutron and synchrotron communities.
https://www.dfg.de/en/research_funding/programmes/nfdi/index.html
Please contact Wiebke Lohstroh or Astrid Schneidewind for information or to propose participation in the proposal.

>>The German Research Foundation (DFG) calls for proposals on quality management of research software by sustainable usability:

- Have you developed research software as part of a DFG project?
- Do you want to make this software available so that it can used in the long run?

Then this call is interesting for you:
https://www.dfg.de/foerderung/info_wissenschaft/2019/info_wissenschaft_19_44/index.html

- Deadline for a non-binding declaration of intent is August 1.

If your software is of interest to other neutron users as well, then please consider a joint proposal with the Computing Group of the MLZ. Please contact Joachim Wuttke (j.wuttke@fz-juelich.de, +49 89 289 10715).

With kind regards,

Astrid Schneidewind, KFN-Vorsitzende
