[kfn-waehler] KFN candidates and election update

KFN email newsletter on September 24, 2020

Dear neutron user,

this is an update regarding the KFN election in October. We assume that you are eligible to vote - please tell us if you are not eligible, because you do not work with neutrons anymore!

There is a last chance for “new users” to register with KFN until Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, see

When you vote, you can choose among 10 candidates for the 12th Committee Research with Neutrons, see

The election fulfils three tasks:

- It is the "democratic" legitimation of the KFN and thus gives weight to the KFN in political discussions
- It gives users the opportunity to choose who will represent their interests
- The number of registered voters and the level of voter turnout are often used as indicators for the research area

For the first time, the new KFN will be elected by an online election, carried out by PT DESY.
You will receive an email with a link to the election site in October. The deadline for voting is ***October 31***.

Voting has never been that easy - please do vote! We hope for a high turnout, so the new KFN can start its work highly motivated.

Kind regards,
Karin Griewatsch, KFN-PR
