Current research focus:

  • Applications and further development of accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS)
  • Nuclear astrophysics
  • Trace elements in environment and technology


This is what I would advocate for in the KFSI:  

  • Strengthening accelerator-based applications in the environment and technology
  • Link to large-scale research facilities with ion accelerators
  • Expanding interdisciplinary research, e.g. using accelerator mass spectrometry - from basic research to its broad areas of application
  • Research as an important instrument for shaping open questions for the future and thus obtaining answers for the current challenges of our society
