Tasks of the KFSI

Task:

The main task of the Committee Research on Condensed Matter with Nuclear Probes and Ion Beams (KFSI) is promoting research with nuclear probes and ion beams.

Representation:

The KFSI represents scientists, who work with nuclear probes and ion beams in the context of BMBF-Verbund-
forschung Condensed Matter. Together with the committees KFN (neutrons) and KFS (Synchrotron Radiation) the committees send two representatives in the KEKM (Commission Research on Condensed Matter) each.

Members:

The committee consists of six elected members and of guests, whereas the guests are representatives of the respronsible bodies for research on condensed matter (PT-DESY) and also of the BMBF and the DFG.

Coopted members:

In addition members can be coopted to reach a balanced representation of the different fields in the committee.

KEKM:

The Committee Research on Condensed Matter with Nuclear Probes and Ion Beams (KFSI) is a panel Member of the Commission Research on Condensed Matter (KEKM).
