Current research focus:   

  • Structure, function and dynamics of nanomagnetic materials
  • Ultrafast magnetization dynamics
  • Imageing with soft X-rays
  • Coherent X-ray diffraction


In the KFS, I would stand up for:   

  • Representation of soft X-ray users at synchrotron radiation sources and FELs as well as maintenance and expansion of the infrastructure in the soft X-ray range also at modernized and new sources
  • Representation of interests of young scientists
  • Improvement of the accessibility (administrative and technical) of SR sources and FELs for a further broadening of the user community
  • Development and improvement of data management and analysis capacities; stimulation of the establishment and wide use of publicly accessible data and code archives; promotion of reproducible data analysis initiatives
