[kfs-verteiler] Digitalisierungs-Workshop / Call for Highlights

KFS email newsletter on Jan. 14, 2021

Dear colleagues,

we wish you all the best for the new year!

In the near future, the new KFS will prepare the exchange with the BMBF for the next ErUM-Pro call for proposals (see "Request for highlights" below), etc. digital transformation remains an important topic, including the BMBF's ErUM-Data call for proposals. In this context, we would like to remind you of this event:

Webinar in preparation for the BMBF call on overarching digitisation projects

On January 18 and 19, there will be the first community workshop on the ErUM-Data action plan, which has been published in the meantime. We invite you all to participate in the online meeting with the aim of actively and jointly preparing for the upcoming ErUM-Data call. The Indico page with the agenda and the possibility to register until January 17 can be found here: https://indico.desy.de/event/28330/

The action plan defines measures in the three overarching topics of "Research Data Management", "Federated Digital Infrastructures" and "Software and Algorithms". In implementing the measures, the focus is on transdisciplinary networking of the ErUM research areas with other relevant areas.

It is important that ErUM researchers work together on an interdisciplinary basis on relevant IT topics across communities. We look forward to a successful workshop.

Request for highlights from your research

KFS is preparing its recommendations for the next BMBF "collaborative research round" (ErUM-Pro) in 2021 at the beginning of next year. For this purpose, we ask you to send us scientific highlights from previous projects, which can be published on the KFShomepage and included in the strategy discussion. We envisage a half-page text with an illustration, or ready-made press releases. Please indicate if they were funded by the BMBF and send them to Karin Griewatsch (kfsadmin@sni-portal.de) by January 24, 2021, if possible.
