[kfs-verteiler] ErUM-Data, DAPHNE4NFDI and deadlines
Dear colleagues,
>Activities of the KFS
Today, the 110th KFS meeting will take place - as a video conference, of course. Since there are many common topics, part of it is planned together with the KFN (Committee Research with Neutrons). The topics are e.g. the funding programmes of the BMBF (ErUM-Pro and ErUM-Data), the start of the DAPHNE4NFDI project, the planning of the SNI2022 in Berlin and public relations. You can find the summary of the last meeting here: https://www.sni-portal.de/en/user-committees/committee-research-with-synchrotron-radiation/committee/minutes/109-kfs-meeting?set_language=en.
>ErUM-Data
The digital community meeting for the foundation of the ErUM-Data umbrella organisation *DIG-UM* will take place on 20 January 2022, from 14:00 to 17:00. A festive part and a technical part on perspectives of digital transformation in ErUM research are planned.
*Registration* please at https://indico.desy.de/event/32315
The central networking and transfer point *ErUM-Data-Hub* (knowledge, workshops, public) will actively support and help shape the digital transformation in ErUM research:
*Applications* for 4 vacancies of the team TVL E13/E15 please until 31 December 2021, see https://www.rwth-aachen.de/cms/root/Die-RWTH/Arbeiten-an-der-RWTH/~buym/RWTH-Jobportal/?search=ErUM-Data-Hub&page=
>DAPHNE4NFDI
On October 1st, the project DAPHNE4NFDI (DAta for PHoton and Neutron Experiments in NFDI) officially started being funded by the DFG, and now the new teams are forming and recruiting new talent. The consortium held a very lively online kickoff meeting on the first of December, with contributions from the facilities, users and industry partners from both neutron and synchrotron communities. We are looking forward to the chances and challenges that lie ahead of us. The new home page is available at www.daphne4nfdi.de/english/. Please visit us and bookmark the page to stay informed. We invite you to join the task area working groups. To do so please contact the task area leaders by email (https://www.daphne4nfdi.de/english/70.php).
There are vacancies available here as well (more to come soon): https://www.daphne4nfdi.de/117.php
