KFS email newsletter on 19 April 2022

Dear colleagues,

> Join us for SNI2022!
05 - 07 Sept. 2022, Berlin. Abstracts until 24 April 2022

We are looking forward to many personal encounters at the 5th Conference on Research with Synchrotron Radiation, Neutrons and Ion Beams at Large Facilities from 05 to 07 September 2022 in Berlin! Scientists from all disciplines are invited to the SNI2022 Conference to present their newest results obtained using synchrotron radiation, neutron and ion beam facilities, to discuss novel developments and exchange on future ideas. In addition, new exciting infrastructures have emerged in recent years under the ErUM-Pro programme, and digitalisation under Daphne4NFDI and ErUM-Data will be discussed intensively.

Abstracts on many exciting topics can be submitted until 24 April 2022 - there will be sessions on Health, Life & Biology, Energy, Materials Engineering, Soft Matter & Liquids, Magnetism and Functional Materials and Methods & Instruments Development, and there will be microsymposia on Digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence, Industry, Innovation & Transfer, In-situ and Operando Studies in Solid-State Research, Earth & Environmental & Climate Sciences, Multi-scale Protein Dynamics and Magnetism in 4d and 5d Transition Metal Compounds. The event will be rounded off by a reception and a public lecture.

You can find the programme at:

Please also note the plenary talks by Susan Schorr (FU Berlin & HZB), Maria Eugenia Toimil-Morales (GSI), Ralf Röhlsberger (Uni Jena & HI Jena) and keynote talks by Beatriz Roldan (FHI of the MPG), Andrea Thorn (Uni Hamburg), Judith Reindl (UdBW Munich), Mirijam Zobel (RWTH Aachen) and Ivan Zaluzhnyy (Uni Tübingen).
